Fallen ArchesA fallen arch is another of the common foot problems that we see. This problem is as prevalent among the general population as it is among athletes and dancers. Lack of proper arch stability can seriously reduce endurance, balance, and overall performance. We have found that the proper functioning of the arch is enhanced by not only supporting the arch but gently rotating the forefoot so that the arch does not come under excessive pressure. Once the foot is rotated and stabilized, the arch can be comfortably supported. This discovery led to the development of our unique line of full-foot orthotics. For fallen arches with excessive pronation, we recommend the Daily Wear Orthotic for light activity, such as walking. Orthotics customized in fit and function for many other activities are also available—browse the product list to find the one that matches your specific needs. Still unsure? Don't hesitate to send an email, we'd be happy to help you choose or fill a special order. |
